C-Band Radar Products from Integra Technologies, Inc.

Integra Technologies’ new Gallium Nitride on Silicon Carbide (GaN/SiC) technology targets the C-band market. Integra’s world class RF design team have launched two new products characterized in the lower C-band the IGN4450M50 and the IGN4450M90 and two new products in the upper C-band IGN5459M40 and IGN5459M80.

Intended for commercial C-band radar applications including weather radars, the PN's IGN4450M50 and IGN4450M90 operate over the instantaneous frequency band covering 4.4 GHz to 5.0 GHz in the C-band frequency range. Under 300µs pulse width and 10% duty cycle pulsing conditions the IGN4450M50 typically supplies 60 watts of peak output power while the IGN4450M90 typically supplies 100 watts of output power. The devices are housed in a ceramic flanged package providing excellent thermal advantages over plastic packaged devices.

Intended for commercial C-band radar applications including weather radars, the PN's IGN5459M40 and IGN5459M80 operate over the frequency band covering 5.4 GHz to 5.9 GHz in the C-band frequency range. The IGN5459M40 is characterized under 300µs pulse width and 10% duty cycle pulsing conditions and typically supplies 50 watts of peak output power with 50 % efficiency. The IGN5459M80 is characterized under 300µs pulse width and 10% duty cycle pulsing conditions and typically supplies 90 watts of peak output power with 50 % efficiency. The devices are housed in a ceramic flanged package providing excellent thermal advantages over plastic packaged devices.
