Process Engineer - Wafer Fabrication
Under the supervision of the Wafer Fabrication Process & R & D Manager, the Process Engineer for the Wafer Fabrication Department will oversee the daily operation for wafer production in diffusion, metal, photolithography and post fab (die preparation) for a boutique semiconductor manufacturer. The position requires an individual with the knowledge to assist operators and provide guidance on assigned projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Daily duties include responding to any technical questions from operators, out of spec decision and wafer re-work and scrap decision
Follow up and reporting on Engineering Projects assigned by supervisor
Train new operators, including training for new or modified processes.
Understand, comply, and support customer and ISO regulatory requirements.
Work area maintenance per documented cleaning requirements.
Inventory maintenance, replenish raw materials and supplies as required per documented procedures.
Equipment operation and maintenance per documented procedures.
Maintain product identification and traceability as required.
Record required data on travelers and logs.
Identify non-conformance and initiate required documentation. Documentation may include NC (Non-Conforming Report), CAR and/or PAR (Corrective Action and Preventative Action)
Qualifications and Requirements
Requires Bachelor’s degree (minimum), with major in engineering or chemistry.
Prior experience in management duties and responsibilities preferred.
Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language. Ability to understand documents such as safety rules and procedures. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Pay Range
$72,000 - $100,000 per year, depending upon experience
