Wire Bonder

A full-time position under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Wire Bonder meticulously follows Drawings and Work Instructions to securely attach the proper wires in the correct positions in specified package types. To do this, they use a West Bond 45xx, K/S, Unitek or F&K bonding machine and its associated stereo-zoom microscope. Bond schedules are all controlled within specified limits while the wires are positioned exactly per the drawing. This job requires average training and experience and specialized knowledge as well as a steady hand and high degree of hand-eye coordination.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean Bond machine and work area as specified. Assure that all settings are as specified.

  • Carefully and accurately maintain all documentation including logs, travelers & MAX.

  • Perform Wire bond step in Assembly process.

  • Perform the job in a manner which is safe to the employee and others and does not damage equipment.

  • Meet productivity standards set by Production Supervisor.

  • Regularly review manufacturing specifications, department specific procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent 1 year industry experience.

  • Ability to read, speak, write and understand the English language.

  • Ability to understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.

  • Ability to utilize various tools required to perform duties.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to round numbers to the nearest whole number, tenths, hundredths, or thousandths.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Pay Range

The starting rate of pay is $17 per hour
