LEADERSHIP TEAM

Z. PAUL AKIAN

Executive Chairman

Mr Akian is Chairman of the Board and principal founding investor in Integra Technologies.  Mr. Akian is an industrialist of technology companies and an active philanthropist.  He has founded and acquired several notable engineering companies including Western Filter, Integra Technologies, Puroflow and FluiDyne.  Mr Akian has a multi-decade history of supplying critical products to mission platforms including early warning radars and air traffic control systems all around the world, U.S. Navy aircraft carriers, Nimitz and Trident submarines, U.S. Army’s M1 Tanks, U.S. Air Force F-15, F-16 and F-18s, the Discovery Space Shuttle, and Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner as well as many other commercial aircrafts.


Mr. Akian studied Mathematics and Physics at Adelphi University in Long Island, earned his MS in Applied Mathematics and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the American University of Armenia (AUA), the Golden State Bank and many other philanthropic organizations. 

JEFF BURGER

CTO, Co-Founder

As a co-founder of Integra Technologies in 1997,
Mr. Burger has been instrumental in leading the company’s success in technology development and product development for the past 25 years. Prior to being appointed as CTO in 2014, he was the Vice President of Engineering at Integra. Under his technical leadership, Integra has developed the world’s leading portfolio of high-power UHF, L-Band, S-Band, C-Band and X-Band radar and Avionics devices.  Prior to that, Mr. Burger worked in various positions at Power Hybrids Inc. (later to become MACOM) including as an Applications Engineering Manager and as an RF Application Engineer.

 

Mr. Burger developed several key RF Transistor products that have enabled L & S band Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems deployed in every major airport around the world.  Mr. Burger holds several patents for high power RF transistor technologies.  He has over 40 years of deep domain expertise focused on designing, productizing and fielding high power RF and Microwave transistors and amplifiers.

Mr. Burger received his BSEE from UCLA, Los Angeles, California.

SUJA RAMNATH

President and CEO, Board Member

Ms. Ramnath was appointed President and CEO of Integra Technologies in 2017 and has served a member of the Board of Directors since 2016.  Under her leadership, Integra has focused on break through innovation in high-performance radio frequency power semiconductor technologies.  Previously, she served as General Manager for software-defined radio solutions for 5G at Analog Devices.  Prior to that, Ms. Ramnath was Senior Vice President at MACOM Technology Solutions and was part of the executive team that took the company public in 2012. Ms. Ramnath has extensive experience leading high-performance semiconductor businesses and driving organic as well as acquisitive growth.  


Ms. Ramnath earned a BSEE from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts and serves on several boards including a Board Director for Atomera, Bhoomi, and Integra Technologies.  She is a member of IEEE-HKN (Eta Kappa Nu) Honor Society and was named one of the 10 Women to watch in Technology by the Massachusetts High Tech association in 2004.

DR. GABRIELE FORMICONE

Director, Technology & Innovation

Dr. Formicone has served as the Director of Technology and Innovation for Integra since 2013. Since joining the company in 2006, Dr. Formicone has served as Integra’s technology thought leader driving the company’s roadmap for Gallium Nitride and Silicon technologies.  Dr. Formicone holds 2 core patents and has authored over 50 papers on semiconductor devices and high-power high-efficiency amplifier circuits.  Under Dr. Formicone’s leadership, Integra announced the RF industry’s first  production ready 100V RF GaN technology in 2021.  

 

Prior to joining Integra, he was a Senior Modeling Engineer at Motorola (now NXP) working on RF LDMOS for wireless infrastructure. He has over 25 years of deep domain expertise focused on designing, developing, and fielding high power RF and Microwave semiconductors.  


Dr. Formicone graduated in Physics at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Italy and earned his M.S. Degree and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University, USA.  He is an IEEE Senior Member, EuMA member and a Faculty Associate Professor at the Fulton School of Engineering at Arizona State University.   

APET BARSEGYAN

COO, Co-Founder

Mr. Barsegyan co-founded Integra Technologies in 1997 and has been instrumental in leading the company’s success in technology development, sales, and operations management for the past 25 years. Prior to being named COO in 2014, Mr. Barsegyan was Vice President of RF Power Amplifiers where he was focused on extending the company’s core pallet portfolio to Gallium Nitride-based solutions. Prior to that Mr. Barsegyan was with Power Hybrids Inc. (later to become MACOM) where he focused on RF and Microwave transistor development.

 

Mr. Barsegyan has over 40 years of deep domain expertise focused on designing, manufacturing and fielding high power RF and Microwave transistors and amplifiers. In 2020, he helped establish Integra Technologies International (ITI) and took on the additional role as ITI’s President and General Manager.  Along with his team, he is working to expand Integra’s global footprint.

Mr. Barsegyan is a graduate of Yerevan State University (YSU), Armenia, with a degree in Microwave Radiophysics.  He earned his MSEE in Microwave Engineering and Antennas from California State University, Northridge. 

TOM KOLE

VP, Sales and Marketing

Mr. Kole joined Integra in 2015 as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Kole is responsible for the sales strategy, execution and revenue growth across high performance markets ranging from Aerospace & Defense, industrial as well as commercial markets. Previously, Mr. Kole was the Director of Business Development at MACOM Technology Solutions. Prior to that, Mr. Kole served as Director of Sales at Nitronex, which was subsequently acquired by MACOM. Mr. Kole also previously served as the Strategic Business Unit Director for Aerospace and Defense at Sirenza, later acquired by RFMD.  

 

Mr. Kole has over 30 years of engineering, reliability and customer sales expertise in high power RF and Microwave transistors and amplifiers.  He currently leads a team of direct sales and marketing professionals and a network of sales representatives serving Integra's global customer base.
 

Mr. Kole graduated from John Carroll University with a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Physics and a Masters of Business from Santa Clara University.
